老师你好，在讲虚拟语气中我有几个问题想请教你在有的语法书中，由lest(以免)/in case that(以防万一)或for that 引导的状语从句，虚拟为sh should 我想问一下for that 是什么意思？还是 whether后面虚拟，请这个虚拟怎么使用whether he were a prince or a beggar ,I′d respect him.另外请讲一下otherwise引导的虚拟。

你好！for是一个等立连词，即连接并列句，比较文气。它有时可以用来做附加说明。一般把for引导的句子放在某一句子之后, 如：He did not come, for he is ill.（也可以说：He did not come for that he is ill.) whether he were a prince or a beggar ,I′d respect him. 这是个虚拟语气的句子没错，表示假设不管他是个王子还是乞丐，我都会尊重他。介词短语表示虚拟： 有时假设的情况并不以条件从句表示出来，而是通过一个介词短语来表示，或通过上下文或其他方式表示出来。如 but for, but that…, in case of, otherwise, supposing, under more favourable condition, without 等表示让步假设
