Chinese researchers have developed a technology system for restoration of degraded grassland in north China, according to the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS).

China's largest-ever oceanographic research and training vessel, named after Sun Yat-sen University, entered into commission in Shanghai on August 28.

With a length of 114.3 meters and a width of 19.4 meters, the vessel boasts global navigation capability. It has a maximum trial speed of 16 knots and an economical cruising range of 15,000 nautical miles, which can facilitate 60-day expeditions and carry 100 crew members.

8月28日，中国有史以来最大的海洋科考实习船“中山大学”号在上海造船下水。

“中山大学”号船长114.3米，型宽19.4米，具备全球航行能力。该船最大航速16节，经济航速下的续航能力达15000海里，自持力60天，定员100人。
